Right angles are very rare in nature, so it is only appropriate to use that same approach when designing a home so enveloped with its surroundings. In our Aspen Residence, nearly every space and surface features a sinuosity meant to reflect nature. Rather than feeling built here, this home is intended to exist as if it grew from this majestic site.
This home rises up from its natural setting, and this aspect influenced all design decisions, inside and out.
The great room's soaring ceiling lends a majestic quality to the interior that reflects the home's environment. A custom formed concrete fireplace is surrounded by collected pieces from Vladimir Kagan and Jacques Adnet.
